  12. Subject:    Configuring the AMI SCSI Host Adapter for use under OS/2 
  13. v2.0 with Adaptec      drivers

  18. 1.    First, run the configuration utility with the latest version of 
  19. the AMI SCSI Host Adapter card's configuration file.
  20.  
  21. !AMI15D1.CFG    (Version 3) for series 15, or
  22. !AMI44C1.CFG    (Version 1) for the Series 44
  23.  
  24. then set the "32-bit Driver Mode" operation to Disabled - Adaptec 154X 
  25. Emulation mode only.
  26.  
  27. 2.    Install IBM OS/2 v2.0 normally.
  28.  
  29. 3.    At the end of the installation, go to an OS/2 Full screen prompt 
  30. on reboot.

  32. 4.    Put installation diskette #8 in drive A.
  33.  
  34. 5.    Change to the root directory (C:/)
  35.  
  36. 6.    Type: "UNPACK A:DASDDRVS \OSC /N:AHA154X.ADD"

  38. 7.    Add the following line to the CONFIG.SYS file:

  40. BASEDEV=AHA154X.ADD
  41.  
  42. 8.    Shutdown or press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to restart.
